1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Buy Me a Coffee Ethiopia ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

The Platform allows creators to receive voluntary financial support from their audience. Supporters can send one-time or recurring contributions. Payments are processed in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) through our payment partner Chapa. Creators may withdraw available balance to a connected bank account subject to our withdrawal policy and fees.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.

4. Creator Responsibilities

As a creator, you agree to:

Comply with applicable laws and not use the Platform for illegal or fraudulent activity
Not misrepresent your identity or the nature of your content
Honor any promises or rewards you offer to supporters
Pay any applicable fees and taxes on earnings

5. Payments and Withdrawals

Support contributions are generally non-refundable. Withdrawals are subject to minimum and maximum limits, processing times, and may incur platform or payment-provider fees as disclosed in your dashboard. We reserve the right to hold or reverse payouts in case of disputes, fraud, or policy violations.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting content, you grant us a limited license to use, display, and distribute it in connection with operating the Platform. Our name, logo, and platform design are our property and may not be used without permission.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or for other reasons at our discretion. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases; provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. For significant changes we may also notify you by email or in-app notice.
